34th International Summer Course – Music School of Brasília | 34º Curso Internacional de Verão da Escola de Música de Brasília

From 4 to 21 January 2012, will be held the 34th International Summer Course of the Music School of Brasilia. In this edition, about 1260 students registered for the event, where they have the opportunity to have free lessons with teachers from Brazil and abroad. However, for reasons of lack of space, only 800 students were accepted this year.
The course involves recitals, workshops, Practice of big and small bands and orchestras, classical and popular music concerts, theorical classes of arrangement, harmony and graduation of music teachers.
During the 18 days of classes, musicians from the United States, Canada, France, the Netherlands, Israel and Sweden will perform in the school auditorium.

Regarding Early music, the 34th International Summer Course counts with the teachers Claudio Ribeiro - harpsichord, Liam Fennelly - viola da gamba, David Castelo - Flute, and Guilherme de Camargo - Lute.

In my case, I have the privilege of being the only lute student this year. It is the first time I attend such a course, which is actually very intensive. In addition to the intense interaction and socializing with other students from various brazilian states and foreign countries, personally it has served to make me get out of one of the most difficult and frustrating periods of my life in which for health reasons, I left my instruments aside for one month and a half.

De 4 a 21 de Janeiro de 2012, realiza-se o 34º Curso Internacional de Verão da Escola de Música de Brasília. Nesta edição, cerca de 1260 alunos se inscreveram para o evento, onde têm oportunidade de ter aulas gratuitas com professores brasileiros e estrangeiros. No entanto, por razões de falta de espaço físico, somente 800 alunos foram aceites este ano.
O curso envolve recitais, oficinas, práticas de conjuntos de pequenos e grandes portes, workshops, concertos eruditos e populares, aulas teóricas de arranjo, harmonia e formação de professores de música. Durante os 18 dias de aulas, músicos dos Estados Unidos, do Canadá, da França, da Holanda, de Israel e da Suécia se apresentarão no auditório da escola.

Relativamente à música antiga, o 34º Civebra conta com os professores Cláudio Ribeiro – cravo, Liam Fennelly – Viola da Gamba, David Castelo – Flauta, e Guilherme de Camargo – Alaúde.

No meu caso, tenho o privilégio de ser o único aluno de alaúde este ano. É a primeira vez que freqüento um curso deste tipo, que, aliás, é muito intensivo. Para além da intensa interação e convívio com outros alunos de vários estados brasileiros e países estrangeiros, pessoalmente tem servido para me fazer sair de um dos períodos mais difíceis e frustrantes da minha vida em que por razões de saúde, deixei os meus instrumentos de lado por um mês e meio.
